Decorating The Porch With Pumpkins

Now that Fall is rapidly approaching, it is the time to begin planning your front porch decor.  A really wonderful decorating tip is to use pumpkins in your decorating theme.  With a variety of pumpkins displayed throughout your porch, you can make a look that is budget friendly and unique!

Begin by shopping for a variety of pumpkin sizes.  Small pumpkins look great lining a porch railing.  Larger pumpkins can adorn the porch steps or even top bookshelves or end tables.  Try to find a variety of colors and sizes for visual interest.  Another way to decorate with pumpkins and gourds is to group them together in a large display, creating a focal point in a portion of the front porch.  You may also want to include some hay bales or a scarecrow too! 

Of course, for Halloween you'll want to carve a few pumpkins and put candles in them.  Other pumpkins will just be shown for display and should last quite a while.  Try arranging them in different ways until you are happy with the finished display.
